Redundancy
- Are you facing a need to discipline an employee?
- Must you consider dismissal whether for economic or disciplinary reasons?
- Are you aware of their rights under employment law?
- Are you aware of your obligations as an employer?
- How familiar are you with ACAS procedures?
- Can you avoid being taken to an Employment Tribunal?
- Could you properly represent yourself at Tribunal or would you need to rely on what could be expensive legal representation?
Dealing with a need to dismiss someone is one of the most difficult situations that can face an employer. There is a need to deal appropriately with a situation for the good of the business but a parallel need to deal sensitively with an issue that could be traumatic for the individuals concerned.
What we do:
- We provide support and guidance to employers through dealing with grievances through to any final decision to dismiss.
- If dismissal is being considered we can provide support throughout the process.
- We can provide benchmarked procedures in accordance with ACAS best practice that afford protection against a complaint to Tribunal.
- If an Employment Tribunal is scheduled we can support an employer at all stages through arbitration, conciliation and, if necessary at a Tribunal hearing.
